Contractors All Risks

Builders, project managers, shop fitters, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, tiling contractors and developers can purchase a policy for Contract Works which includes Liability Insurance. This includes cover for Loss or damage occurring on a building site as well as accidental damage, death or injury to Third parties as a result of such works. Contractors All Risks insurance can be extended to include cover for your own plant, hired-in plant, materials, tools & equipment and employee’s tools.
The main part of the contractors all risks insurance is the contract works section which provides cover for the property being worked on (e.g. new house, etc.). However, cover for the existing property is excluded (e.g. the existing structure when building an extension) and must continue to be insured under its own insurance cover.
You can also insure damage or loss to the surrounding property, as well as your materials whilst it is being transported to site. Employers Liability can be included unless this is already insured under the Contractors Business policy.
